On the official site of Crash (CrashMetaX / @CrashMetaX), this note covers Bringin.
What happens when on-chain Bitcoin and Lightning payments finally sit under one balance without extra steps?
Bringin said on Oct. 3, 2026 that Bringin v2 is live with a rebuilt self-custody wallet that handles on-chain Bitcoin and Lightning from one balance. NFA.
The Wallet Rebuild
Bringin rebuilt the wallet inside v2 from scratch with the open-source Breez SDK on Spark, a layer-two protocol on Bitcoin. The result keeps everything in one place so users receive and pay both on-chain and over Lightning from a single balance. No manual swaps or channels to manage.
How Payments Work
Users can receive Bitcoin straight to the self-custody wallet through a.btc Lightning address on bringin.xyz. On the send side the app accepts an on-chain address, a Lightning invoice or a Lightning address and routes the payment. One scanner inside the app reads Bitcoin addresses, Lightning invoices and Lightning addresses.
Key Control for Users
Users hold the keys. Bringin takes part in transactions through multisig but never alone. Every wallet ships with pre-signed exit transactions so users can leave Spark on-chain without Bringin's cooperation.
Existing Users and Availability
Current clients update the app from the App Store or Play Store and their wallet and balance carry over. The app serves Bitcoiners in Europe and v2 is available to download at bringin.me.
What the Reader Should Do Next
Download the updated app at bringin.me if you want one balance for both payment types. Existing users should grab the update from their store and check that their balance appears as expected. Test a small receive through the.btc address to confirm everything lands in self custody. Paste a Lightning invoice or on-chain address in the send flow to see the routing in action. Review the pre-signed exit transactions in the wallet settings so you know the off-ramp sits ready. Keep the app updated going forward to stay on the latest version.
The product angle stays simple: one balance, user keys, and direct control over both Bitcoin routes. That setup lets holders move between on-chain and Lightning without extra friction or third-party channels. Bringin v2 focuses on that core experience for anyone already using or planning to use Bitcoin payments in Europe.
